I am really really blonde right now. I was doing some blonde foil highlights and it was taking way too long so I decided to basically just cover my hair in bleach for a few minutes. I was a little worried during the washing process but I am really happy with it. When I dyed my hair dark brown in 2008 my mother said the reason she wanted me to go to blonde again was because my kids would wonder where they got their blonde hair from.
I went blonde again and was honestly happier. I belong a blonde and I've accepted it. I no longer feel any embarrasment from bleaching my hair. I remember being younger and nobody would admit bleaching their hair because everybody wanted to look more "natural". But I'm happy to admit I just don't care. If I bleach my hair every few months until I die, which hopefully will be at least another 50 years, that would be just fine. I have always had blode hair naturally, sometimes it was lighter than other times for sure, right now my natural hair color is just like a dark ash blonde.
When I was about 12 I remember a day where I just didn't want to do my hair really at all but I remember my older sister telling me that we should always look our best. I had the mindset that people should accept me for who I am, whether I did my hair or not, whether I took daily showers or not. But gratefully my sister taught me a very valuable lesson that day. I have always remebered it and think of it often. As a new mom it was really exhausting but the days that I woke up, got dressed, put on makeup, and actually cared about what I looked like I had a much better day. I was happier and more energetic, a better mother, got a ton more done, and I'm sure my hubby was ever grateful. I think it's particularly important as a young mother to do this. Sometimes I see people, particularly women, that just kind of give up in that department. In my opinion,
taking care of yourself and being and looking your best is another way of serving our children. Women who make an effort to look their best have more confidence in every aspect.
Another thing I want to talk about is femininity.
The older I get the more I realize how very important it is as a woman to embrace our femininity. In every aspect. In the way we do every single thing.
These are just some things that have been running through my head the last little while.

Here it is. Proof that I actually held a wild cat. I actallu held a jaguar! It was incredible! My heart was beating so hard the entire time.
Then, we got to ride horses along the beach. Gorgeous!
