I Have a Five Year Old!!!!!
For Michael's birthday this year, we took him and two of his closest friends to Hill Aerospace Museum for the day. I think he had a lot of fun. Grandma & Grandpa LaRocco were able to meet us there as well. He is always telling me that when he grows up he wants to be a "Jet Pilot." He loved anything that flies really. I guess this is why he chose an airplane birthday theme for two years in a row. ;)
We got him a brand new bike and I think that is what he is most excited about. We are excited to have such a smart, handsome, clever, and funny little boy.

Captain Furr & I
Some awesome friends of us invited us to go here (Thanks Julie & Grant!), the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center. We didn't really know what to expect, but we loved it. We participated in a Space simulation on a ship similar to ships in Star Trek. It seemed as though everything was Star Trek referenced, It was so totally rad! Justin was elected Captain and I got to be the First Officer. Waiting in line before the breifing.
We tried making serious Starship important people faces.
I even found a bomb and someone on my crew detonated it in time to save our crew. Our mission was successful. We also met a few super cool new friends we now hang out with, who love Star Trek as we love Star Trek. We are still kind of mourning the loss of the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas, so this made up for it a little. Someday we plan on attending a real Star Trek Convention and hope to meet some of the characters in the Star Trek world. I know this must sound super geeky but yes I am really that into it.

Vegas, baby! Part 1
So, as some of may already know, we took a family trip to Las Vegas, Nevada. We booked a room at the Circus Circus for four nights, packed up our van, the kiddos and were off.
The kids didn't really like having to stay in the van for the five hour trip, but we found ways to amuse them. Our van's DVD player was a life saver, same with the cinnamon bagels I packed.

Once we arrived it was all very exciting, Justin pointed out all the hotels we could see from our hotel room window.
If you ask Michael what his favorite part was about the entire vacation, he would say "Living in the hotel." with a huge grin on his face. The kids laughed a lot, jumped on the beds, and love to tickle each other. The kids actually slept pretty well considering all five of us slept in the same room.
