Birthday Week

So, for those of you who didn't know, I had another birthday recently. I had a delightful week of celebrating.
My mother and father in law took us out to get seafood. The waitress made me wear this ridiculously huge hat shaped and painted like a fish. Of course I loved it. Next, I took pictures of the kids in their jammies.
Also, my parents and grandparents drove down and took us to eat at a buffet.

Then my mom broke out a cake and we filled it with candles.
I guess it was kinda boring because both my grandpa and my dad fell asleep. But later I went to the M.A.C. artists and got my makeup done. As Justin's present to me I even go some of this amazing M.A.C. makeup. It is amazing stuff. Then I had some fun getting in pictures with my kids in their jammies again. One of my favorite presents was from mother nature, a pretty sky.
It was a divine birthday. Thank you to all who contributed.

Timeless Farm

A few weeks ago when Justin was helping his sister pack up her uhaul since she moved to Maryland I took the kids to a farm. It's called Wheeler Farm and it's located right in the middle of Salt Lake County. It was actually a really fun place.
I think riding this is a big step in preparing him for riding the real thing someday.
Wesley now says 'cow" and "moo", which is really good for him since he has led a fairly silent life thus far.
Michael thought the pigs were pretty funny.
We even got to feed some geese some expired hot dog buns. One of them even ate a piece right out of my hand.
Michael got pretty close.
Had to throw a picture of Francy in there, even though this wasn't taken at the farm. Isn't she precious!?
I sat Michelangelo on this old John Deere, but he wasn't as excited as I thought he'd be.
But then Wesley took charge and loved it.
I recommend this place to just about anyone who needs some fresh air and entertainment. It's free admission and it makes for some really pretty scenery, whether you bring the camera or not. What free activities do you like to do in the summertime?

4th of July Weekend

Although I am a little late in posting, here are some pictures from our 4th of July. It all started when we went to the early morning pancake breakfast and hot air balloon festival.

Then later we walked around and looked at all the booths and vintage cars. Wesley liked this old truck.

And Michael liked this old car.

We decided since we didn't do much on father's day, that this would be Justin's day. He got his face painted like Jack Sparrow, got this new Brasil hat, test drove a Segway, and stood by his favorite tree.

Then we went swimming with Erin and Ava. Francy even got into the pool, and loved it. It was her first time ever in a swimming pool.

On the night of the 4th we had a bunch of family over to do fireworks. Justin loved playing mr. pyro/firework lighter.

Wesley loved the fireworks, as always. There must be a reason his birthday falls on a legal day to light fireworks.

Here is Wesley and his cousin Shaun getting a closer look.

Long and busy weekend equals Francesca tired and ready for bed. July is always a very busy month for our family, but I love it that way. There are more posts on the way. :)

Fishing with Grandpa

My dad took me and the boys out on the lake to go fishing a few weeks ago. It was both Michelangelo and Wesley's first time on a boat and first time fishing.
Wesley clung to his chair, then he fell asleep. It was cute.

Then Michael caught his first fish, a foot-long Channel Catfish! He was so proud!

Then Mommy helped Wesley catch a Catfish of his own. Wesley loves animals, even if they are going to be his dinner.

Michael loved setting all the fish caught that day on our driveway to take pictures.

Thanks Grandpa, the fish was delicious, and it was a beautiful afternoon on the lake. ;)
