Potty Training

So I have been trying to potty train Michael for the past few days and it's been quite an adventure. Overall though I am super excited about his progress and have high hopes. Wish me luck! :)

Pics of Wesley and Nebo

I thought these 2 pics were just adorable--he's growing so fast and he stands for like 30 seconds on his own now.

Not as lush as Timpanogos but still breathtaking. We're going to hike it again Mark before the summer is gone. Don't worry.

Nebo, job, Wesley, and school...

I haven't done this in a while--so I guess I'm overdue for an update. I'll make it quick. Jenny mentioned the Timp hike. It was awesome. It's a beautiful mountain. Mark and I, Amy and Kelly couldn't get enough of hiking, so we decided to take on Mt. Nebo which is even taller. The trailhead is by Nephi just up the canyon a ways. (HINT: don't enter the Nebo loop from Payson like we did!) We got started on the hike late (bad Internet directions) so never made it to the top but we'll be back before Winter to take care of that. Anyway, I'll try to upload a few of the pics from that and place them on this blog and on a Facebook photo album.

I'm still working at Directpointe. It's been a little over a year. I don't know if I mentioned that I'm an onsite tech there now. So I got promoted but didn't get a raise which to me doesn't really make sense. Jenny and I are pretty bummed about that. I'm kinda looking for something better in pay and benefits--Omniture, Alpine School district (onsite tech), and other places but we'll just have to see. I had an interview with Alpine and the pay and benefits are way better, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Wesley took his first step about 4 days ago! We're so excited. He doesn't do it much and gets tired but he can officially step now. Won't be long before he's walking everywhere. He got started a month earlier than Michelangelo. He's about 13 months old now.

So school is starting up on the 27th of Aug. It's bittersweet for me. The summer has been a nice break for me but it's time to get back into it I guess. I have 12 credits starting up, 3 computer classes and 1 tough class--Macroeconomics--Yikes! But one computer class that I'm excited about is Computer Forensics. Plus I didn't even have to do anything and now I'm a University student!!! Go UVU!!!

Well, I'm done. Until next time--I'll try not to wait so long before my next entry.

Spectacular Mt. Timpanogos

We did it! We hiked to the top of Timp! It was Justin's ninth time! It was hard and long-14 hours round trip, but soooo worth it. Justin invited a bunch of people: my mom and dad, my brother, my two uncles Keith and Kyle, and my cousin Emily, Justin's friends Luke and Scott, and also my brother Mark and five of his friends, Mike, Sam, Kelly, Amy, and Shalen. We started at 5:30a.m. just in time to see the gorgeous sunrise. It was a great group. Kyle provided the 80's tunes and our trail mix kept us going. Seeing all the waterfalls was magical, and seeing all the mountain goats was fascinating. We took pictures at the shack. We even got to sign the guestbook. I do think it will be a while before I attempt another hike of that magnitude, but it was fun. I recommend the hike to everyone at least once in their lifetime.

Wesley's Birthday

Wesley turned one and we had a really fun party. He loved digging into his blue cake. Thanks for all your support and gifts. Oh, yeah and I also dyed my hair auburn. Here are some pics:

Brush With Fame

My parents got us tickets to the top 10 American Idol Concert for our anniversary on our anniversary, and it was awesome! Michael Johns was my favorite. Brooke White said that Utah was the place. She's adorable. David Archuleta was also amazing. That night Justin and I stayed in a hotel and the next morning were strolling through the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City and Justin spotted David Cook(THE American Idol). So I called his name, he turned around and we chatted for a few minutes. He was very polite and cool. I liked his facial hair better up close, and his fedora hat was very retro. Later we ate lunch at Tucanos and Justin spoke Portuguese with the staff while I kept saying "Obrigada." The abacaxi was moito bem. (The grilled pineapple was delicious!)

Happy Anniversary, Honey Bunches!

This post is dedicated to my loving and wonderful husband, Justin on our anniversary. It has been FOUR amazing years and I can't believe it. They have been the four best years of my life, and I am so happy I married you. You are such a loving, considerate, sweet husband and excellent father. Thanks for being you. Thanks for being such a great example to me in the gospel. I couldn't have asked for a better life than I have with you and the boys. I love you.
