Wesley is walking!

Wesley has been taking steps for about 3 or 4 weeks now, but he's finally learned to stand up on his own and walk. He still doesn't really prefer it over crawling but every day he makes a little more progress. Soon he'll be walking everywhere and then we'll probably be wishing he was crawling again ;) Here's a little clip of him.

For Halloween we dressed up with a Medieval theme as many of you know. We went to my mom's and took Michael and Wesley trick or treating (although it was really just a way for us to get some candy, j/k) :) No, but it was fun and the kids had lots of fun too. Here's a picture of us there:

Michael and Wesley had fun with their cousin Ava. She was so cute dressed up in her little Dorothy costume with red slippers.

Also, FYI, the baby (in Jenny's belly) is doing okay since the last check-up. There's still a heartbeat and Jenny's starting to show more now. She's going to have an x-ray taken this week on her abdomen to see if the Mirena is still in there somewhere. We hope everything's alright and the baby's okay. The doctor thinks the baby will be fine. We'll keep you posted. We still won't know the gender for another couple of weeks. We're happy either way though! Thanks everyone for your love and concern.

Costume Party

Pumpkin Patch

Michael made this little line-up of toys the other day and was so proud to show it off. My super-motivated brother Mark just graduated law school and just passed the utah bar and so here is he getting honored. Go Mark!

Afterwards we all went to a chinese buffet to celebrate. Michael and even Wesley loved it! I have never seen them eat so much food in such a short amount of time. They had a blast.

My super-mom sister Lisa came to visit for a few days so we decided to go to the vineyard garden center pumpkin patch. It is only $3, and it was awesome! We all loved it! Here are some pics. This one is of my gorgeous sis and two of her adorable daughters.

Welcome to October

Hello everyone! I am back from my three week blogging hiatus. I do have a good excuse. Making baby number three has made me sooooooo tired. I have had to take naps when the kids have them, well, if they have them. Luckily, the other pregnancy symptom's haven't been too bad yet. My baby bump is starting to show already, and I am only 12 weeks along. I am excited about that. I love being pregnant. It is such a miracle that a woman's body can serve as a vessel for human life to grow. We couldn't be happier about it and can't wait for another little boy or girl in our home. The Lord has blessed us so much, and for that I am so grateful. Justin does such a good job at being the presiding preisthood holder in our home. Thanks honey bunches.

We had the opportunity to watch General Conference at Justin's parent's house. It was so nice to hear the prophet speak, to tell us just what we needed to hear. One of my favorite talks was given by one of the newest members of the quorum of the twelve, Quentin L. Cook. He said: "We know from the scriptures that some trials are for our good and are suited for our own personal development. We also know that the rain falls on the just and the unjust. It is also true that every cloud we see doesn’t result in rain. Regardless of the challenges, trials, and hardships we endure, the reassuring doctrine of the Atonement wrought by Jesus Christ includes Alma’s teaching that the Savior would take upon Him our infirmities and “succor his people according to their infirmities.”

I testify that I know that what he said is true. The atonement of Jesus Christ is the only way we can be forgiven of our sins, and get through the trials of life and return to live with Him.

Michael and Wesley loved playing with their cousin, Ava. They even played us a few songs. :)

Speaking of cousins, Michael and Wesley got another one this summer. Her name is Samantha, and she is such a jewel! Michael and Wesley loved holding her, except they would get so excited they would forget to keep their arms out. It was way funny. By the way, Wesley can take five steps now! On his own! We are so proud of him and love to see him being more mobile and active than ever. All that worrying about his small size and development are now subsiding. We have learned more than ever lately that the Lord knows us, and knows what we need, we just need to wait for His timing.

On Sunday I initiated a halloween art project. Justin was so confused. "I have never done a halloween art project.", he complained. I told him that making fake hands to spook people with will be fun, just give it a shot. Well, he helped paint the hands and ended up loving it.

As I have been putting together halloween costumes for the family, it has been fun to look back at what we were in years past: This was the Furr Family Halloween 2007. Here we are Halloween of 2006.

My new Job, Macs, and a BIG HUGE surprise!

So Jenny's already mentioned that I got a new job with Alpine School District. I'm liking it. It's a whole different style of work. I'm mostly at Orem High School and will be a roaming tech at any other schools within the district as they need me. Sometimes I don't know what the heck is going on during a regular day there, but I'm learning more and trying to adjust. It's a lot more laid back and had much more responsibility and experience involved than my last job.

When I got the job, they asked me if I would like a MacBook or an HP laptop. Being more used to PCs, I almost chose a PC, but I realized that I can run Windows on a program called Parallels for the Mac and I wanted to get more familiar with Apple computers (OSX Leopard & Tiger). You gotta understand, I've always kinda been a Mac hater. Well I chose the Mac. And of course--I'm a Mac lover now. That doesn't mean I don't like Windows anymore, but I'm no longer prejudice against Macs. What I don't like is when people only like Macs. They don't realize it's a "Window's World" and you need to also know it because that's primarily what businesses use and most apps work with. Anyway, I'm converted but not 'only' to Macs. But there's a lot of fun things to do on them and I'm now used to them AND can run Windows right next to it.
Okay, now for the good part. If you read through all that and got bored--sorry, but you'll love this next part. Jenny gave me permission to "spill the beans" officially on our blog. Guess what???? You're probably already knowing in your mind what I'm gonna say. Yep you guessed it! I won the lottery! Wait...that isn't it. Jenny is pregnant!!!! Holy cow! (as Michael would say). We weren't trying but--the doc confirmed it yesterday! We were very surprised, since it was an accident and we were planning on waiting until I graduate from UVU with a Bachelor's degree, but that's not what the Lord wanted. Oh well! We are satisfied with His decision and excited for another cute little baby to join our family!

Farm Country & More

Here are some highlights of our attempt at making the last few weeks of summer worthwhile: First, I took the kids to Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country with my friend Jen and her kids. Michael's favorite animal to see..... a black and white chicken! lol! He was scared of the horses and most of the other larger animals but loved the chickens. After being there for just over an hour Wesley started getting fussy so we had to leave early. Oh, well, we will just have to go back there and this time bring papa.

Then that same night we went out to dinner to celebrate Justin's new job. All these people from other tables kept making Wesley laugh. It was the cutest thing.

A few days after that we went on a picnic up Provo canyon. Michael got a hold of the camera and went to town. I actually thought a few pictures he took of Wesley were pretty cute.

We LOVE our bike trailer. Fresh air. Exercise. Fun. Pretty much one of my favorite inventions ever.

We even spent a wonderful day at my parents house in Farmington. Michael loved hearing grandma play her guitar and sing along. "Again, again!," Michael kept begging over and over.

We also had a great labor day spent with Justin's family but sadly we didn't get any pictures.

And last but not least last weekend we drove to Roosevelt, Utah to visit Justin's brother, his wife Candace, and their darling kids Shaun and Samantha. Candace's dad gave Michael and Wesley a ride on their pony, Domino. Michael actually did pretty well but poor Wesley wasn't feeling so hot so he wasn't really a fan of the pony ride. Maybe when the kids get a little older they will want to ride Domino again.
