Captain Furr & I

Some awesome friends of us invited us to go here (Thanks Julie & Grant!), the Christa McAuliffe Space Education Center. We didn't really know what to expect, but we loved it. We participated in a Space simulation on a ship similar to ships in Star Trek. It seemed as though everything was Star Trek referenced, It was so totally rad! Justin was elected Captain and I got to be the First Officer.
Here we are right before the simulation.

Waiting in line before the breifing.

We tried making serious Starship important people faces.
I even found a bomb and someone on my crew detonated it in time to save our crew. Our mission was successful.  We also met a few super cool new friends we now hang out with, who love Star Trek as we love Star Trek. We are still kind of mourning the loss of the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas, so this made up for it a little. Someday we plan on attending a real Star Trek Convention and hope to meet some of the characters in the Star Trek world. I know this must sound super geeky but yes I am really that into it.

We were also sad when the Star Trek experience went away. I had some of the best pizza at Quark's, by the way.

Our niece works at that space simulation thing you went to. Cari has worked a shift there with her. She said it was really fun. Glad you had a good time.

Oh, and we went to a Star Trek murder mystery dinner once, many years ago. I made uniform shirts for us. If you ever want to borrow them, you are welcome (even though they'll be too big). I was Ro, so mine is red. Bill was Worf, so his is gold.
