January gone???

Wow, that month went by fast. Feels like we just celebrated the new year yesterday. It was a good month. Lots of birthdays to celebrate (including my own!) and there was a lot of snow! We played in it a lot and as you saw on the blog here, we made a snow family and went sledding. I'm not a huge fan of the cold but I shouldn't be complaining about that--we live in a house where it's warm and are blessed with so much.

Our little boys are just growing up so fast and I've never been happier in my life to have the cutest little family that I have. I love my whole entire family so much! My brother Brandon is getting sealed in the Salt Lake temple on Saturday so we're really excited and proud for him and Candace. It's the same day as Pres. Hinckley's funeral. As you may have seen that Jenny wrote an entry about him. What a wonderful man he was and an awesome example to all of us. He made life look so easy and fun, never complained and loved his family and the Church. He was an amazing guy and the thing that I like to think about is he was a real man, and we all have the potential to get to his level.

You know, I also just want to say that I'm grateful for all of this awesome technology nowdays. It can be used for such good things. This blog for example. Jenny and I are having so much fun with it. Everyone needs to have one! My schooling with Information Systems continues to get more difficult and I feel I'll never know it all. In fact I know I won't, but that's the cool thing about it, technology will always be changing so I know it'll be a great career and field of work for me--plus I just love computers. Anyway, I'm talking too much again (Jenny puts all these small entrys a lot, and I put a couple huge ones ;). Well, gotta go but stay tuned. And have an awesome rest of the year! It should be a good one and be ending with a bang come Dec. 25th! New Star Trek movie!!!!! Okay, we're geeks--see ya.

Wesley's Hair

I buzzed Wesley's hair the other day. Bye bye ringlet head. It was cute while it lasted but it was starting to look a little silly. He is six months now and growing, and I'm sure will grow even faster. It's amazing how fast my little boys have grown. It seriously seems like yesterday me and Justin were newlyweds, then we found out I was pregnant, then when Michael was seven months old we found out I was pregnant again. I love being a mom. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Being a mother myself definitly helped me understand my own mother a lot better. Thanks mom you're great!

Prophet

My mom called me on sunday night to tell me that President Hinkley passed away. I felt sad at first, then happy. I am happy for him because he is now in a better place. He is finally with his beloved wife and the mother of his children. I cannot imagine being alone on the earth without Justin. I suppose it may happen one day when we are old and gray, and by that time I will probably have gotten more used to the idea, since women usually live longer than men, but it's still hard to think about.
The prophet was an amazing man. I have read his book Standing For Something, and it was one of the most inspirational and informative books I have ever read. President Hinkley was a person who everyone in the world could stand being a little more like. His death helped me to take a step back, and look at the eternal perspective, for we will have another prohet soon. The church is true and I sustain whoever is called to be the next prophet. Probably Thomas S. Monson. That is neat. I can't wait until the next general conference in April. Bye now.

Snow and Kids

So you may have watched our video we took after we built our snow family. It was fun. I thought Michael would want to play in the snow more but he likes to look at it even more. "No, no, no"he says, (His word for snow). My favorite things to do in the snow are go tubing, go sledding, build snowmen and snow forts, and go snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Winter was my favorite season all growing up. But once I moved to Orem I had to drive in treachorous conditions, and we hadly ever played in the snow, it wasn't quite as fun. Oh the glory of growing up, more responsibilities. One of my new years resolutions is to have more fun, so this winter I have been trying to make the best out of the snow. Shoveling the driveway can be quite invigorating. Making our snow family was a blast. My current project is building a snow fort. My next snow goal is to go sledding. Don' know whether to bring the kids along but I'll figure it out. We got like 10-12 inches so that should be plenty. Wish me luck, bu-bye for now and happy snow day!

Here's my first addition to the Furry Blog

So Jenny really wants me to write some things on this blogger so I am. I've just been so busy working full time as well as starting a new semester at UVSC. I have 3 computer classes and an accounting class. I'm keeping way busy with homework, work, church, kids, and my wife. But it's good to have these things in our lives which keep us actively involved.

As Jenny mentioned we went to Tucano's this week. It really was good. It reminds me of eating at all the churrascos in Brazil (meat buffets). But she spelled the Portuguese word for pineapple wrong, it's "abacaxi". ;) lol. I also loved eating the coraçoes de frango (chicken hearts). I know it sounds not so good, but they're delicious once you try them.

I love my hilarious and beautiful wife. She means the world to me and makes me laugh every single day. We went there because it's my birthday week. Everyone is making fun of me because I'm taking a whole week to celebrate it. Brazilians do the same thing with any given holiday--extend it for as long as possible. Monday (14th) was my b-day, but we actually celebrated it Tuesday. My parents took us to Red Lobster and a friend from work took me to a different Brazilian place on State in Orem who also went on a mish to Brazil. Now this is getting too long. But I've been needing to write something on our blog since she started it.

Anyway, so I'm now 27!!!! I can't beleive it, it feels to old for me! I can still pass for a pre-mish boy if I wanted to. Jenny's friends have been asking for pictures on here. Jenny posted recent videos and pics of our family on here. However, if you'd like to see more, Jenny and I both have Facebook accounts and we put tons of family pictures on there. You should check us out on Facebook and if you don't have an account, start one. It's good for meeting up with old friends from past wards, school, work, etc.

Now or never

Well some of my friends have requested to see my blog so I guess I'd better get going. Today we went to Tucanos. It's a brazilian restaurant. I ate way too much but it was fun. I think it was Michelangelo's first time eating top sirloin steak and he loved it! My favorite things are garlic sirloin and abakashi(grilled pineapple). Justin likes to go there to reminisse about his mission in Brazil. It is a cold cold day. We need to get a heater. Our gas bill last month was $125!!! Well I have to change Wesley's diaper and clean the house now so until next time. Obrigada!

In the beginning...

Well, here I am attempting to create my first blog. Me and Justin have known each other for over four years now. It really was love at first sight right in the middle of Toys R Us on a beautiful fall afternoon. Our first date was about a week later, and we have never spent a day apart since. I am one of the lucky ones in the world to find my missing puzzle piece so young. We know that life isn't perfect, but together we can be something wonderful, an eternal family. We are young and have hard times, but we know that hard times only make us stronger.
