Mark has a wife!

My beloved brother got married over the weekend. It was a beautiful sealing, entertaining luncheon, and grand reception. They are happy and in love and we are all bursting with excitement for them and their new life together. Three cheers for Mark & Holly!
Francesca looked just darling:

Check out the brides shoes!

From a Toddler to a Boy!

My firstborn Michelangelo has officially turned four! He has grown from a zygote to an embryo, from a fetus to an infant, and now from a toddler to a real live boy!
The last four years have really flown by. Michael has brought much joy and love to my heart. I am honoured to be his mother. It hasn't always been easy, from the sleepless nights, to the getting into all the food in the kitchen, to writing with permanent marker all over the walls, to making mess after mess, we still love him, now more than ever. He is and always has been very outgoing and friendly, he is quite the talker and loves to learn, he enjoys taking care of his brother and sister, and wants to be just like his dad. I pray every day I can teach him just the right things to him so that he will succeed independently on his own one day. As sad as that day will be, I will be such a proud mom.
Here are some pictures from his airplane-themed birthday parties. I threw him his first-ever friend party! It was just adorable! The kids played pin the tail on the donkey, duck duck goose, and we got a kick out of it. Justin actually stepped in as the party game initiator/coordinator and I stood back keeping things in order. Then we had an afternoon family party and was once again pleasantly suprised at all the family support we have. Thank you so much all! We love you!

On a Team Again

Some of you may have already heard, but I've been playing some volleyball lately. I played when I was younger, one year in school, and every other year on my ward young women volleyball team. I had forgotten how much I really enjoyed the sport. And I'm actually pretty decent at it considering I never had really much formal training like club. Here is my current volleyball team:
Julie, Sharon, Janice, Erika, Saralee, and me.

I borrowed these shorts from Justin, the knee pads from my sister, and took the liberty of buying myself some awesome fushia socks just for the occasion.

We started winning all of our games. It was amazing. Then the tournament came and we actually won the whole thing!
Springville City Women's Volleyball Champs!
I'm definitly playing the sports I love more often. It's fun, gets my heart rate going, and keeps me in shape. Win, win situation for all!

I almost forgot to thank my cheering section: Justin and the kids with my neighbor, Kelsee helping. We couldn't have done it without you.  ;)

The Girl With 100 (er... 3) Dresses

I've really brought out my "Jennifer Trend" side the last few weeks. Here are some of my creations:
Exhibit A: "The Francy" This pink-toned dress with a tiny floral print was made bn my me without a pattern:

Exhibit B: "Floral Dream" My first attempt at using a baby dress pattern, which was actually much harder. Sleeves are much harder than they look, people. These sleeves were sewn on backwards. I'm just going to pretend I did that on purpose. I like this one because it falls all the way to the floor.

Exhibit B: "The Betty" This red and white checkerboard vintage fabric really is vintage fabric. A woman in my ward was giving away some her old fabric, and I got this, among a few other treasures. I used the pattern as a reference for this dress, along with some of my own ideas. And I actually sewed the sleeves on correctly!
Here are some recent milestones in Francesca's life:
-She has two teeth, both bottom
-She crawls occasionally,  mostly army-style, but I've seen her on her hands and knees a few times
-She thinks Michael and Wesley are hilarious, she will laugh and laugh until giving herself the hiccups
-She has lass than eight weeks until her first birthday!
-She has recently recoved from two double ear infections, back to back. We are so grateful she is all better.
-Just a few hours ago, while taking pictures of her in her new dress, she stood up for a few seconds all on her own! (first time ever!)
-She has a huge appetite, with lamb, beef, oatmeal, pears, carrots, and sweet potato puffs being her favorites.
-She is an awesome sleeper, thank goodness, usually sleeping from 8:00PM-7:00AM
-She brings such a sweet beautiful spirit into our lives, and our home. We can't imagine life without her!

Knocked Up

I am 75% sure that Krishna is pregnant. The last few weeks she has been "in heat" which means she's been looking to mate with a male cat. She was climbing on our curtains at least 2-3 times a day, jumping on things, thinking she can lick our plates, and sticking her tail high up in the air. She got out three times last week. On Friday Justin found her with her boyfriend twice, the second time he walked her home. She was out all day and I think that's the day she got herself prego. Ever since that day she has been acting a little strange. She has been more calm and relaxed, and she is eating more than ever. I haven't really noticed a belly on her yet but I am watching for it. My neighbor said she would want to buy one of her kittens since they will be half Bengals, and we will probably sell the rest except for keep one male. If last friday were in fact the date of mating, then according to a website I found, her nipples should get pink on March 15th, and her due date should be May 2nd.
We feel okay about it. We would have either had her spayed or this, since she was starting to act so crazy. We look forward to having a sweet adorable precious litter of tiny little kittens around here. I think the kids will like it too.

Miss Epperley's got it

Katelyn Epperley is totally my favorite contestant right now on American Idol. She is adorable, I especially loved "Oh, Darling." Who are you rooting for?

NY fashion week find

I would soooo wear that outfit. Marc Jacobs is my new fave designer. Substituting those espadrille-type/ankle strap platforms for these fushia beauties of course.
